How the EU and Adjoa are working to strengthen the Senegalese healthcare system
The European Union is helping Senegal to take a big step towards greater efficiency and, ultimately, autonomy in the production and distribution of vaccines and medication.
The long-term goal is to reduce Africa’s dependence on vaccine and medical imports and to strengthen the continent’s pandemic resilience by investing in local production facilities.






The close collaboration between the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and the Africa CDC helps ensure coordinated surveillance and disease intelligence to prevent and contain outbreaks that could otherwise spread around the world.
